If you're facing issues while using the AutoDM feature on SuperProfile, this guide covers the most common errors creators face and how to fix them effectively.
This is one of the most commonly observed issues during Instagram connection. It typically occurs due to expired or throttled sessions on Instagram's side.
Fix:
Wait and retry after 1 hour.
If the issue persists, try again after 3 hours.
In rare cases, you may need to wait up to 6 hours for the session to reset and allow a successful connection.
Issue: Some iPhone users face issues during Instagram account connection because the app blocks redirection to the connection page.
Fix:
Uninstall the Instagram app from your iPhone.
Once uninstalled, go back to SuperProfile and attempt to connect again. This time, redirection will happen correctly via Safari or Chrome.
After a successful connection, you can reinstall the Instagram app.
If the issue still persists, wait for 1 hour and retry. In some cases, it may take up to 6 hours due to session-level throttling on Instagram's end.
Issue: Messages are not being sent via AutoDM.
Likely Cause: A crucial Instagram setting is turned off.
Fix: Enable message access with the following steps:
Open the Instagram app
Go to Settings > Messages and Story Replies > Message Requests
Turn on "Allow Access to Messages" under the Connected Tools section
⚠️
Without this setting enabled, AutoDM will not be able to send messages on your behalf.
Issue: Some users have reported that call-to-action links (including Google Drive URLs) are not opening, especially on devices like OnePlus. This is not limited to Google Drive; it may affect all link types.
Fix:
Use the Superlinks feature on SuperProfile to shorten and convert the Drive URL. This improves compatibility and click-through performance across all devices.
Important:
This issue is observed primarily on certain Android devices like OnePlus.
Instagram’s mobile app (especially when using web-like elements such as postback buttons for actions like "Follow") may restrict certain clickable behaviours. In such cases, the buttons may not work if the user is accessing the content via Instagram’s in-app browser or website.
Issue: You're unable to see your story while setting up AutoDM.
Cause: AutoDM only supports original stories, not reposts or shared content.
Fix:
Ensure the story you want to use contains content you posted originally.
Reposts of reels or stories from other accounts will not show up in the AutoDM setup options.
Issue: Comment replies are delayed.
Reason: Unlike DMs, comment replies are rate-limited and closely monitored by Meta to prevent spam.
Fix:
No action needed. This is expected behaviour.
AutoDM queues replies and sends them gradually to stay compliant with Meta's guidelines.
Issue: Your Instagram account got disconnected from AutoDM.
Possible Causes:
You changed your Instagram password
You revoked access to SuperProfile from your Instagram settings
Fix: Reconnect your Instagram account to AutoDM from the SuperProfile dashboard.
Issue: AutoDM might not function as expected, especially the follow-check feature.
Reason: You changed your Instagram Username
Fix: After changing your username, visit your AutoDM dashboard on SuperProfile. This updates the stored username and ensures everything works perfectly.
Issue: Some AutoDMs are not being sent.
Cause: You're using multiple Instagram automation tools (e.g., SuperProfile + ManyChat), which can cause webhook conflicts.
Fix:
Disconnect your Instagram account from other automation platforms before using AutoDM.
Running multiple tools increases the risk of being flagged by Meta and may lead to incomplete automation.
